What We Consider Essential to the Christian Faith
What We Believe as
Great Commission Baptists
As Great Commission Baptists, we are committed to the historic Christian faith and the authority of God’s Word. Our beliefs are rooted in the Bible and centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ, the mission of making disciples, and the planting of healthy churches.
We joyfully cooperate with more than 47,000 churches across the nation and around the world through the Southern Baptist Convention in advancing the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Together, we work to send missionaries, strengthen churches, train leaders, and proclaim the gospel to all nations. The Southern Baptist Convention is also the largest Protestant denomination in the United States.
Our church holds to historic Baptist convictions, emphasizing the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, believer’s baptism, the autonomy of the local church, and the call for every believer to live on mission for God’s glory.
